A Note from Figaro Triptych
I've finally completed the Marriage of Figaro triptych and its ready to be sent off to the framer. I'm actually quite proud of them, especially the way they bounce off each other and create an atmosphere present in the opera itself. It focuses on a scene in Mozart's 'Le Nozze di Figaro' where the countess is confronted by the count whose accusing her of adultery. She proclaims, in all honestly, her innocence while attempting to hide the half naked man in her closet behind the chair. In these paintings I was hoping to convey the same scene from different angles, almost like you were sat in different areas of the theater.
